—21 year BGSU University; Cleveland Old Blue; Cleveland Grey; Detroit Tradsmen.

Why did you decide to become a referee?

—1995 running a tournament; no referee’s for B games.

Did you have some kind of mentor?

— Ed Peabody my first real coach; Gerry FitzGerald; Terry Day.

Do you remember your first game as a referee? How did it go? Any funny or special memory?

— Awarding a try on a knock in galo to Freeport rugby club

How well do players and coaches in Florida know the laws of the game?

—We our all evolving.

What is your opinion in general of the attitude of players towards the referees in Florida?

—Most want to enjoy; a few complain.

As a referee, have you made more friends or foes?

—Both.

Does being able to watch a game on video help you improve your skills?

—Never been video.

What are the most rewardings aspects of being a referee? And the least?

—Being a referee you give back to the game of almost 40 years you enjoy.
