Youth Rugby in Florida for 2015/16 Season

The Florida 2015-16 season for the youth brings a lot of growth across all categories. New categories and more clubs. Looks like an exciting season. Posted on 12/10/2015 6:50:29 PM		The Florida 2015-16 season for the youth brings a lot of growth across all categories. This year we will have 7 competitive championships from High School Varsity (U19) to Under 10. For the first time, we have been able to separate the high school teams in two age groups (sort of) which has been something that we have been looking towards for a long time, but due to the limited amount of players was just not possible and we had to have 14 year old players mixed with 18 year olds, which of course is really bad. This year, for the fist time High School boys has been divided into Varsity (basically U19 – Juniors and Seniors) and Junior Varsity (Freshmen and Sophomores – U17). It is to be noted that actually within the Varsity category, any high school kid can play, not so in JV. This categorization (Varsity, Junior Varsity) which seems to come from the football world, seems to me not totally
